Luis Silva (n. Santa Rosa, Barinas State; December 5, 1962), is a Venezuelan singer of llanera music, known in artistic circles as El Barinés de Oro. He began his career at the end of the 1980s as interpreter of folk music, managing to obtain in 1993 the recognition of "Best Singer of Creole Music". At an international level, he participated in the 1994 OTI Song Festival held in the city of Valencia, Spain, with the melody Enfurecida, obtaining third place; this composition earned him a nomination for the ACCA Award from the Miami Songwriters Association. In the year 2001 he formed an orchestra composed of sixteen musicians.

With the international album, Luis Silva managed to reap great success inside and outside the country. The version of Leo Dan's famous song "Te he promised" occupied the seat of honor on the radio billboards, as well as the piece "La Distancia y tú". Luís Silva's ability to move the masses, his ability to reach the hearts of different generations (boys, girls, adolescents, adults and the elderly).
